HOW DID YOU PAY IT FORWARD TODAY?
The world we live in today is ever evolving, becoming more complex in maintaining our economic status, and our simple will be happy.
I ask the question, "How did you pay it forward today" because the only way we can survive the challenges of today is to put in practice the wisdom that was used yesterday.
In the time of the Great Depression of the 1930's the bottom line is: They did the best they could with what they had. Neighbors pitched in, everyone was in the same position. Kids & husbands ate what was available, moms & grandmoms did without.
So many of us don't want to ask for help, don't feel that we can be helped because our needs are so great. However I want to encourage you to put your pride aside, accept the help and then "Pay It Forward". Because 9-10 times there will be someone just like you in a similar position feeling the same and in need of help.
Help can come in many forms. Remember when someone helped you? Here is a few ideas how you can "Pay It Forward" :
If you are a Coupon Queen, take 2 hours out of your day, invite them to go Grocery shopping with you and give them coupons to show them how they can save.
If you can go through your pantry and get a few things out that will fill up a grocery bag do that and deliver them to that neighbor you know is struggling
If you have a job and can give a gift card (gas card, walmart, harris teeter) for $10-25.00 you would be surprised how much that will help the couple that can't feed their children.
Most people don't know who to help because they avoid these type of conversations. Start tomorrow, talk with someone you wouldn't normally talk with, share a word of encouragement, be a mentor, go on a walk with a friend, watch and see if you won't be the richer for it!

WHAT DO YOU DREAM ABOUT?
I've been asking that question for weeks now. "What do you dream about?" I can't seem to get a healthy number of responses. Which tells me folks aren't dreamin'! Why is that. Is it the economy, is it the employment situation, is it the infidelity that is running wild in folks relationships.....what is it?
It's time to wake up, go to your bathroom mirror and ask yourself the question, Insert name _____________, what do you dream about?
I am interested in finding out if:
1. you don't know the answer
2. are working on it now
3. you think it's too late
PLEASE ANSWER MY POLL!!!
I have loved Theatre and Entertainment since I was a child. I have always loved how you could transform yourself into something new, transport yourself somewhere else and treat yourself to something lovely and nice. I'm on a quest and journey to do what I love and develop the gifts that I've been given. I'm on a 3 year plan and you are free to explore the journey with me or began your own.
Start today, it's not hard, post 5 things you'd like to do before the end of the year and make them as reachable or unthinkable as you can. And let's explore our dreams together.

JUGGLING TO KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE!
Well we are coming to a close on February 2010 and I'm excited! "I'm juggling lots of things to keep the Dream Alive!" After being laid off I gave much consideration to what did I enjoy the most, and it's none other than developing others, programs and publications.
I've developed a great afterschool program, I'm mentoring and life coaching right now and lastly I'm working on helping my son build an online magazine; However none of these things are big money makers nor give me the ability to maintain the lifestyle I am accustom too when I was working in Corporate America.
So what do I do, "I juggle!" I'm taking the things I'm passionate about and tapping into those things. Some folks say, "you work to much", "you are doing too much" but I say, do what you have to do to keep the "Dream Alive".
Juggling Pin #1 -I'm so excited about my new venture with Princess House, bringing awareness to all women but especially women of color about Healthy Cookware to help in the fight against Heart disease and Alzheimers.
Juggling Pin #2 - I'm also thrilled with the outcome of the life coaching I've been doing; a few of my clients have gone on to get awesome jobs in this time of recession, stability in their personal lives and set some fabulous goals to help relieve stress and build the longevity of their health.
Juggling Pin #3 - Again I'm overjoyed being a mom and wife today (Lord knows this was not always the case lol) My son is being awarded the opportunity to participate in a prestigious leadership conference and I couldn't be more happy.
Why juggle all these things for one simple "Dream" to work independently for myself, developing people, publications and programs. Here is one of the realized dreams that I'm driving now http://dreamafterschool.blogspot.com
SO I ASK YOU....WHAT DO YOU DREAM ABOUT? IS IT WORK JUGGLING A FEW THINGS TO KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE?

DID YOU KNOW!
Hello Blog readers, I thought I would start with a Valentine, "Did You Know".
Question: Did you know that todays Valentine's Day celebration has evolved into one
of the most celebrated holidays on the calendar. This Holiday spending
equals approximately $14 Billion dollars in revenue.
Thought: If we showed are love for one another daily, would we really have to spend
this much money on one day?
Question: Did you know according to the 1 Corithians Chapter 10:13 it states that
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is
not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not
easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.
Thought: As we say to our family, friends, and significant others, "I Love You," do
we mean it like the above scripture? Do we actually feel and think these
things in our heart? Or are we really not living Love at all?
Question: Did you know, we say we love ourselves but don't act it out? Children,
the elderly and those with heart disease are at special risk. As people
age, their ability to maintain a normal internal body temperature often
decreases. Because elderly people seem to be relatively insensitive to
moderately cold conditions, they can suffer hypothermia without knowing
they're in danger.
Thought: If you are young or old with insurance or none, could you do some internet
research to gain more information on how to care for yourself?
Question: Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is the #7 leading cause of death in
the U.S., it's a progressive, degenerative disorder that attacks the
brain's nerve cells, or neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and
language skills, and behavioral changes.
Thought: If we were loving ourselves the right way, would we really carry so much
stress? A key factor in triggering Alzheimers is "Stress". It produces an
overproduction of a hormone called cortisol. These elevated levels of
cortisol may damage the brain cells in our memory center. To eleviate
stress here are some of my favorite tips offered by Alzheimer's Foundation
of America http://www.alzfdn.org/BrainHealth/stressmanagement.html: pray,
deep breathing, classical music and massage.
To all my friends, family and network, love yourself then you can love others.
Happy Valentines,
Tangil

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE TRIAD
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! Well the New Year is bringing a lot of good vibrations! As mentioned in my previous post, as I evolve so will this page. I am happy to announce that in addition to my other endeavors I am adding one of the Top 100 Places to Work according to the Boston Globe, "Princess House."
Princess House is a company that cares and is committed to "Enhancing Your Life!" Princess House has been enhancing lives for almost 50 years! Ultimately , Princess House is committed to helping all women live healthier, happier, more fulfilling lives through a superior product offering and outstanding income opportunity. I am excited to join these African American top performers, who are "Building a Legacy" and enhancing their lives and their family's future as independent Princess House Consultants.
DID YOU KNOW
African-American women face a greater threat of death from heart disease than women of other races. In 2002, their death rate from coronary heart disease was 169.7 compared to 131.2 for white women. These statistics show that heart-health education among African-American women is crucial. In these pages, the American Heart Association gives the information to understand why your risks as an African-American woman are higher and what you can do to stay heart healthy.
"There is a critical need for greater awareness about the risk of heart disease among African-American women," said Anne L. Taylor, M.D., professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and an AHA volunteer. "All women need to be conscious of their own personal health risk, and the statistics for African-American women are staggering."
Providing health education to such high-risk people is a high priority for the American Heart Association. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=2222
Because of this I have joined Princess House and am committed to working with them and their partnership American Heart Association local Greensboro chapter. We as African American, Black women must take our ambition, education, business savvy and take action providing and protecting our families. We can do this by leaving a legacy through Princess House. The focus is simple: healthy eating, healthy cooking and healthy living!
