"WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE TRIAD!"





Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas Everybody! For those of you who normally get down this season, here is a little something to cheer you up. Now is the perfect time to cozy up on a couch with your favorite blanket, light the fire, and sip on a cup of Hot cocoa or tea or whatever you like. Always look for a positive in challenging times and you spirits are bound to be uplifted. For those of you who absolutely love this time of year, get out and share the gift of your presence with your neighbor, family and friends! As I mentioned before the page will continue to evolve as I do. So get prepared for anything!

Family Fun event the holiday kick-off with community sing-along, tree lighting and a musical troll. Visit Winter Wonderland and Santa’s Workshop for fun and activities. Free.

Activities and Entertainment include: perrformances by Alamance Jazz Band and Season's Best Carolers in the Amphitheatre, performance by Civil Defense in the Depot, strolling performances in the downtown area by the Elon Carolers, Salvation Army Band and others, "Christmas Goat" petting area in front of The Glass Angel, hayrides, the Christmas Train, May Memorial Library and The Times News Kids events at the Library, and visits to the Restored Caboose. Non-profit groups will also be selling refreshments and Christmas gift ideas. Tree lighting at 6 p.m. Free. 6-9 p.m.
