Hello Blog readers, I thought I would start with a Valentine, "Did You Know".
Question: Did you know that todays Valentine's Day celebration has evolved into one
of the most celebrated holidays on the calendar. This Holiday spending
equals approximately $14 Billion dollars in revenue.
Thought: If we showed are love for one another daily, would we really have to spend
this much money on one day?
Question: Did you know according to the 1 Corithians Chapter 10:13 it states that
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is
not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not
easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails.
Thought: As we say to our family, friends, and significant others, "I Love You," do
we mean it like the above scripture? Do we actually feel and think these
things in our heart? Or are we really not living Love at all?
Question: Did you know, we say we love ourselves but don't act it out? Children,
the elderly and those with heart disease are at special risk. As people
age, their ability to maintain a normal internal body temperature often
decreases. Because elderly people seem to be relatively insensitive to
moderately cold conditions, they can suffer hypothermia without knowing
they're in danger.
Thought: If you are young or old with insurance or none, could you do some internet
research to gain more information on how to care for yourself?
Question: Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is the #7 leading cause of death in
the U.S., it's a progressive, degenerative disorder that attacks the
brain's nerve cells, or neurons, resulting in loss of memory, thinking and
language skills, and behavioral changes.
Thought: If we were loving ourselves the right way, would we really carry so much
stress? A key factor in triggering Alzheimers is "Stress". It produces an
overproduction of a hormone called cortisol. These elevated levels of
cortisol may damage the brain cells in our memory center. To eleviate
stress here are some of my favorite tips offered by Alzheimer's Foundation
of America http://www.alzfdn.org/BrainHealth/stressmanagement.html: pray,
deep breathing, classical music and massage.
To all my friends, family and network, love yourself then you can love others.
Happy Valentines,
Tangil
